The 2017 Teen Photography Contest co-sponsored by the Cape May County Library and Sturdy Savings Bank is open!

Who can enter?

The 2017 Teen Photography Contest is open to teens ages 12 to 18 years old, including residents of Cape May County and visitors.

How do I enter?

Teens may submit digital photos with a resolution of at least 900x720 pixels. Teens may submit a maximum of 2 photos in each contest category. This year’s categories are Cape May County, Build A Better World, and Nature.  

Deadline: All entries must be received by Monday, July 31st, 2017.

Digital photos with a resolution of at least 900x720 pixels must be emailed to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. with subject line “2017 Teen Photography Contest Entry”. Please put your name, age, address, phone number, email, photo title, and the category you are entering for each photo in the body of the email message. Your email message serves as your Media Release Form and your agreement to all contest rules.

What Can I Win?

One Grand Prize Photo will be selected to win $100.

Photos in each category will be selected to win: 
1st Prize: $60
2nd Prize: $40
3rd Prize: $20

Honorable Mention Certificates will also be awarded.

Award Ceremony

Join us at the Cape May Court House Library on Friday, August 11th at 1:00 pm for the Teen Photography Contest Award Ceremony. All ages are welcome to attend. 

The Fine Print

Contest entries must not have been previously published. All entries become property of the Cape May County Library. Winning and runner-up entries may be published in Cape May County Library publications and electronic or other media. Entry and acceptance of prizes constitute permission (except where prohibited by law to use photographs,names, likenesses, and entries for the purposes of advertising and promotion without further compensation). The Cape May County Library is not responsible for lost, incomplete, misdirected, or late submissions.
